The ERGO produces a very sharp image on screen, and displays very natural colors. This means, for example, that a vast range of photos, even old discolored ones, will be displayed clearly. Road maps, with their small print city names, are clearly readable.

In text mode an electronic contrast modulator vastly improves the readability of low contrast text, such as newspapers, by displaying it in a high contrast black & white. The text mode can be used both black on white and reverse image.

The ERGO has a normal magnification range of 3.5X to 35 X. Because it is possible with all ERGO units to change the monitor height, the actual magnification depends on the distance between monitor and reading table. With monitor height changes, the full magnification range is 1.7X to 71 X.

All ERGO units are equipped with a unique, specially developed low vision zoom lens with a very large depth of field. This allows you to easily read thick books such as phone books, encyclopedias, etc., because the ERGO focuses automatically, and puts even extremely curved pages completely in focus.

All ERGO units have a brightness/contrast control, and also have a high vertical screen frequency higher then 75 Hertz. This produces a very steady image.

Image blanking (window viewing) is available to highlight a portion of the screen, enabling the user to concentrate on a limited number of text lines.

Underlining is available to help guide the user when writing or reading. Also there is an option to choose between Normal and Non-interlaced image.

Because all ERGO models have ergonomic design, they can easily be adapted to the stature of the individual user be they large or small in size, children or adults. On all ERGO floor stand models, the reading table can be set at different height levels. This is important, because incorrect reading table height can cause cramps and fatigue in hands, arms and neck and back.
